AutoDBA is a collection of powerful utilities designed to simplify
the cumbersome and detail-oriented tasks of managing NonStop (Tandem)
Enscribe, SQL/MP and SQL/MX databases. AutoDBA
is Ranger enhanced, utilizing the partition boundary keys
provided by CarrScott Software’s Escort Ranger product. Each
utility can be run from a TACL prompt, as an obey file, or a Netbatch scheduled
job via TACL. AutoDBA is comprised of
the following modules…
ADDPART*
|
A utility to automatically add new partitions and determines disk & first key values. |
AUTODCOM
|
Runs DCOM for a set of disks, 10 most fragmented, 16 least free space, etc. |
AUTORELOAD
|
Reads edit file for day/date of month and invokes MRELOAD for each day’s reloads. |
AUTOSIZE
|
Resizes Enscribe and SQL/MP files by calculating extent sizes from used space. |
DISKTRAK
|
Tracks disk capacity over time for capacity planning and trend analysis. |
FILETRAK
|
Tracks file size growth for capacity planning and histograms, stores in a SQL/MP table. |
MRELOAD
|
Multiple Reload - FUP RELOADs files matching a wildcard fileset. |
OBEYFORM*
|
A SQL/MP Reverse Engineering Tool for DBAs, SEs, & Architects. |
PARALLEL*
|
A powerful utility to simplify parallel obey file processing. |
PI
|
Partition Info, a tool to list, count, sort, and summarizes files and execute command against. |
PTRA
|
A Parallel Tandem Reload Analyzer utility, for counts, slack, block info and more. |
REBAL
|
Stop/Restarts SMF VDP Processes failed over after a CPU reload. |
REPART*
|
A Parallel Load Utility to Re-Partition SQL/Enscribe tables. |
SQLRECOMP
|
Runs SQLCOMP for invalid programs. Used by ADDPART/REPART. |

ADDVDPS |
Automated ADD DISK commands in SCF to create many VDPs under SMF |
ALLRELOADS

Provides details for all FUP RELOADS currently running. |

Provides line-by-line disk cache statistics. |
CHECKDUMPS

TMF utility to search for lingering Online Dumps. |
LISTVOLS |
Lists the SCF config for each physical volume. |
NOSTATS |
Lists tables in a specific catalog that have STATISTICSTIME = 0. |
SMFINFO |
Reports SMF Pool, VDP, and Physvol configuration and counts. |
SYSSPACE |
Reports DSAP information, sorted, summarized, and totaled. |
TMFMEDIA |
Counts TMF TAPEMEDIA by type (Assigned, Scratched, Bad, etc.) |
TMFXREF |
Compares TMF Online Tape usage to TAPEMEDIA usage. |
